Wisconsin’s governor won’t rule out the possibility he might just veto the entire state budget.  The Republican-led Joint Finance Committee is currently working on a final version of the two-year spending plan.  Governor Tony Evers told reporters Tuesday it’s too early to say for sure whether he would take the drastic step of vetoing the entire plan for Wisconsin state government spending.  Earlier this year, lawmakers rejected all of the Democratic governor’s proposals and started work from scratch.

Mask-wearing is no longer required for visitors to the Wisconsin state Capitol.  The change went into effect Tuesday and it includes most other state facilities.  It comes after a change in recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  Federal health authorities have said people who are fully vaccinated can go without masks and can forget about social distancing in most activities.  The new Wisconsin recommendations indicate all unvaccinated people, including state employees and members of the public, should continue to wear face coverings while they are inside state buildings.

Even if you’re just trying to help, you can do more damage by approaching a fawn than by just leaving it alone.  The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says spring is when white-tailed deer fawns are most common around the state.  Scientists say a fawn, or a group of fawns, lying still and quiet with no doe present is actually a good sign.  The does spend most of their days away from the fawns looking for food.  The mother won’t return if people or animals are nearby.  You can actually endanger the fawns by being nearby because your presence can lead predators to their location.  It is illegal in Wisconsin to possess any wild animal.
